In reality there is bugger all to be thankful for unless you call the culling of millions of animals something to be thankful for, or the genocide of most of the indigenous inhabitants living there in the first place or the slaughter of millions around the world deemed by the Unites Staes of America over 210 years of its 230 odd years,to be a threat to their own security.
Still the way the translation of Thankfulness seems to be the ridding of everyone else who appears pesky and does not believe their Hollywood narrative.
God looks down on the ants called the Human Race and, and in Her infinite wisdom, notes one set of pest in the pile of human mockeries to be in need of extermination. Pondering how such creatures could swiftly be ridden from Her Plan She decides that act of thankfulness would be best enacted through their own hand, since they had all the tools to do so and the arrogance and hubris to not see it coming.
It seems so many have been wiped of any reality of what it took to get to this point. The history writ large by the "victors" seems to have obliterated any semblance of truth and replaced it with the Hurrah! of exceptionalism. The bitter pill of reality will feel like the unkindest cut of all, yet be the swiftest and sharpest blow from the sword of Truth as it lays waste the pile of human egoism into a pool of oblivion.
The Inheritance of Cain will become a testament to the sorry period of humanity, when the times of psychopathy dared sense their infinite ascendency.
Happiness may feel like a warm gun but inevitably turns out to be the outcome of its usage to self extermination rather than determination.
